Lyme Academy Core Program students Jordan (“JT”) Hein, Marina Melluzzo, and Joseph Van Buren were invited to attend the Sculptural Visions festival on September 28 at St. Gaudens National Historic Park in New Hampshire. This annual event celebrates sculpture in all its forms. Visiting artists demonstrate a variety of techniques including clay modeling, wood and stone carving, metal and wire working, and mixed media, while attendees also participate in hands-on activities. Our own team of sculptors demonstrated their portrait modeling approaches and techniques, both from the model and from the imagination.
