The Lyme Academy is expanding its role as a collaborator with the local arts community, fulfilling its mission to enrich the cultural life of Southeast Connecticut. In August, the Academy showed its support for regional representational sculptors by hosting the Society of Connecticut Sculptors’ annual meeting. Public art projects were also a focus this summer, with studio space being offered to Youth Program and Continuing Education students working on behalf of the Southeastern CT Community Land Trust and the Health Improvement Collaborative, and to local artists representing Gilead Community Services. We are looking forward to more community collaborations in the future!
