This five-day workshop aims to teach students to build a solidly constructed three-dimensional figure, from linework to modeling the form in light and shadow.

Students will study short- and long-pose figure drawing.  The long pose will allow the student to study the objectives for each phase of the figure’s development, beginning with the ‘action’ and ending with the ‘modeling of form with value.  The short poses will test the artist’s capability to put into effect the principles learned in the long pose, in a shorter time frame.

The instructor will present material through demonstrations and historical references based on Baroque and 18th-century applications to life drawing.

Please note that registration for this workshop is non-refundable and does not include supplies or materials; please see the Terms and Conditions for details before making the final purchase.
