There are a limited number of spaces available, and enrollment is competitive. Therefore, we encourage all students to apply before the stated deadlines. Late applications will be held on a waitlist and considered based on space availability.
It is the policy of the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts not to discriminate against individuals based on race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital and civil partnership, pregnancy, age, religion or belief, national origin, or disability in the administration of its admissions policies, educational policies, employment practices, scholarship programs, and other Academy-related activities.
The online application begins by submitting a form with personal and program information. Once that form has been submitted, applicants will receive an email with a link and credentials to log in to our application portal and complete the application.
Applicants who wish to increase their chances of securing a space in the Core Program and are confident that Lyme Academy is the right school for them are encouraged to apply for Early Decision. Applicants who are accepted through the Early Decision admissions process are committed to enroll at Lyme Academy and expected to withdraw applications to other schools; this is a binding agreement.
Applicants who apply for Early Decision may be accepted or denied, or they may be deferred to the Regular Decision review process. Applicants may not apply for Regular Decision if they have been denied from Early Decision.
Applicants are required to provide two separate Letters of Reference. These may be from a teacher, friend, or colleague. Each Referee should email their Letter of Reference to: admissions@lymeacademy.edu. Letters will be reviewed by the Admissions Committee.
The timely submission of Letters of Reference is paramount; applications will not be considered complete until both Letters of Reference have been submitted.
If you plan to reapply, email admissions@lymeacademy.edu. In your message, include your full name, the program and term you’re seeking, the year you last applied, and any notes you would like us to know (portfolio updates, coursework, awards, etc.).
