Have you ever considered the role of change and time in your painting? During this three-day workshop you will discover this, and more as you are guided in positioning your own still life and painting directly from these individual arrangements. You will focus on creating one painting sustained over the duration of this workshop. As an artist who places an emphasis on the importance of still life setups in his own work, Edmond Praybe will guide you in learning how to set up your still life, to look for color and value relationships, and to examine the abstract structure you can create in your own paintings.
This workshop is open to all levels, but some basic painting experience is recommended. Image presentations will supplement workshop demonstrations and instructed work time.
This is an in-person workshop which will take place in our studios with strict social distancing protocols and reduced student capacity. Please see our covid policy

He has been the recipient of the Hohenberg Travel Grant, two Mercedes Matter Awards and was a National Parks Artist-In-Residence at Catoctin Mountain Park. Edmond teaches studio classes and lectures regularly in-person and online. He is a member of Zeuxis: An Association of Still Life Painters and is currently represented by Tregony Gallery in Cornwall, UK, First Street Gallery in New York City and Peterson Contemporary in Bend, OR.
