Times: 9-4 pm (break 12-1 pm)  

Workshop Location: Multiple local plein air venues; in case of inclement weather a studio on the campus of the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts will be reserved. Please note that participants will be asked to walk short distances with materials in tow.

Directions and Parking: Registered students will receive detailed information in advance of workshop.

Level: Beginner to advanced students welcome.

Throughout the course of this multi-day workshop, students will be led through a series of demonstrations, both en plein air and in the studio. Traditional tools and approaches will be presented as a foundation for exploration, allowing each student to overcome creative blocks and develop a more personalized vision of the landscape, unique to the individual artist.

Artist Biography

After attending the Rhode Island School of Design for illustration, Timothy Wilson worked briefly in the design field before returning to his home state of Maine to pursue a career in painting. Today, he maintains a studio in coastal Maine and his work is sold internationally. Wilson exhibits at Sloane Merrill Gallery in Boston, Steven Amedee in New York City, Noh/wave in Los Angeles, and at Corey Daniels Gallery in Maine.
