Open Drawing
Saturday, June 3 Schedule Update
Due to the Commencement Ceremony from 10:30 am to 1 pm on Saturday, June 3, there will be no Open Studio Figure Drawing at 10 am or at 1 pm, but we will host the evening session from 5-8 pm on Saturday evening.
Open Figure Drawing
Our Open Drawing sessions provide a valuable opportunity for artists of all skill levels to work from a live model in a structured studio environment. A monitor is present to set the poses, keep time, and ensure a prompt start. Easels, stools, and drawing horses are available for use. Attendees are responsible for bringing their own art supplies.
Figure model sessions feature nude male and female models; models will be clothed for portrait sessions.
Sessions last three hours, and are $20 per session.
Spaces may be reserved and paid for online, or drop-ins may pay in cash at the door.
Are you a high school student? Lyme Academy of Fine Arts Open Drawing sessions are free for you! Come join us in the studio! Questions? 860-434-5232.

Are you interested in capturing a person’s likeness? Artists will have the opportunity to develop finished drawings and paintings over the course of 5 to 6 sessions with the same live model. This focused period will allow artists to develop their technical abilities, as well as to better understand the poetry of physiognomy and the human condition. We will rotate male and female models over the term. Open to all levels.
