Judith Reeve Bio
Judith Reeve is a professional painter, teacher, and writer. Reeve spent four years studying Robert Henri’s archive, housed at Yale University’s Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library in New Haven, CT. Reeve has written extensively about her research into Henri’s color theories on her blog, Attentive Equations (2009-present), and is presently completing a book on the subject. Reeve studied at the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts between 1992 and 1994, under the tutelage of Deane G. Keller and Dan Gheno. There she received the John Stobart Fellowship, which allowed her to continue her studies in Rome. Reeve is currently an adjunct Professor of Drawing at SUNY Sullivan in New York.
