Show us your best work
Your portfolio is a reflection of who you are as an emerging artist. It will give us insight into your interests, motivation, and energy. Choose 6-20 of your strongest pieces.

What we look for
Our ideal applicant shows enthusiasm for art, intelligence, and the drive to work hard to learn and grow as an artist. When we look at your portfolio, we understand that your work is an indication of the training you’ve received so far.

Types of work to include
Your portfolio may showcase a variety of media and techniques, or it may reflect an area of concentration. We accept work in any medium, in color or black and white, and you may include drawing, painting, illustrations, printmaking, or sculpture. You can include work from your sketchbook.

A few guidelines
We prefer to see work created from observation or imagination, rather than from photographs. You may include pieces created using photographs as a reference, but you should be the photographer. Please do not submit work copied from other artists' work.

Scholarships are available
Once you are admitted, we may ask to see additional work for scholarship purposes.

How to show us your work

Bring your portfolio and we’ll give you approval or feedback right on the spot.
