Lyme Academy College was founded in 1976, in Old Lyme,
Connecticut. It is accredited by the State of Connecticut, NASAD,
and is the sole fine-arts-only NEASC accredited Art College in New
England as well as one of only three fine-arts-only Art Colleges in
the United States. The College is the only Art College in America
with a central intensive focus on traditional disciplines, history,
and a thorough grounding in the fundamentals of Drawing, Painting
and Sculpture.
Governance of the College is vested in the Board of Trustees, which meets
quarterly throughout the year. Authority to act in the Board’s stead is
vested in the Executive Committee which meets monthly and whose actions
are ratified by the Board at its regular meetings. |
